Strong Hero Loadout in Fortnite STW

Your hero loadout is one of the most impactful parts of your build in Fortnite Save the World. The right combination of commander, team perks, and support heroes can dramatically increase your damage output, survivability, and overall effectiveness — especially in high-level missions.

Here’s everything you need to know to build a strong loadout, including one of the best endgame setups available.

How the Hero Voucher Works

Before anything else, the most important tool for building a great hero loadout is the Hero Voucher — earned at Ventures Level 20 (requires 257,250 Venture XP).

The Hero Voucher lets you claim any hero from the Collection Book for free. This is huge, because it gives you access to rare and meta heroes without needing to spend Gold, Flux, or Training Manuals.

Since Ventures resets every ~3 months, you get a fresh Hero Voucher opportunity each season. If you want to maximize your loadout, farming at least Ventures Level 20 every season should be a priority.

Option 1 — Dragon Scorch (High Damage, Low Ammo Cost)

If you’re looking for a hero that clears large groups of husks quickly without burning through ammunition, Dragon Scorch is one of the best choices available. His abilities deal high damage and are excellent at wiping clustered enemies — making him great for mission farming and endurance builds.

You can pair Dragon Scorch with the Happy Holidays team perk, obtained by unlocking the hero Jilly Teacup from the Collection Book. You don’t need to equip Jilly Teacup — simply having her unlocked activates the perk in your loadout.

Option 2 — The Endgame Meta Build (Energy Assault Rifle Focus)

This is one of the strongest general-purpose endgame builds, designed to be used with an energy damage assault rifle such as the Storm King Scourge (Storm King Assault Rifle).

Increases assault and SMG critical damage by 225%

Team Perk

Totally Rocking Out — unlocked by obtaining Dennis Jr. from the Collection Book

Rockin’ Riff increases crit rating by 160 (decaying over 8 seconds)

Support Team (5 slots)

Sub Wafers (Main Stage Quinn) — consuming Sub Wafers activates Rockin’ Riff, increasing damage by 50% and melee attack speed by 32%
Battle Beat (Breakbeat Wildcat) — eliminating 10 enemies in 9 seconds triggers Rockin’ Riff also increasing damage by 50% and melee attack speed by 32%
Energy Siphon (Intergalactic Ken) — energy damage eliminations restore 8.5% of missing shields
Assault Damage (Rescue Trooper Ramirez) — increases assault and SMG damage by 17%
Plasma Arc (Cyberclops) — energy damage has a 20% chance to zap nearby enemies for 58% of the damage dealt

Stationary Hover Turret (energy damage, great additional DPS)
Adrenaline Rush (survivability in tough situations)
